Hardware and Software Roll Outs

As the number of computer devices increase, the operations and infrastructure needed to support the continuous updates. Deploying within a large number of connected devices, can pose a significant risk of something going wrong. Regardless of how well tested the software and hardware update process is, you will only know how well the deployment works after it has been actually put to work. There can be many potential stumbling blocks preventing new hardware and software from behaving as expected. These factors can be impossible to predict. A phased rollout can help greatly mitigate risks by deploying into time-delayed phases. Additionally, schedule deployments enable to set a start time for the deployment into the future, so users are unlikely to be interrupted by the update.

P & IT takes a phased approach to the process of roll out one step at a time. The implementation requires a thoroughly thought out scenario. Our team builds a plan and schedule, once agreed with the customer, communication goes out to all users of every milestone during the phased roll out. The actual installation of the new system will be done in several ways, per module or per product and several instances can be carried out. This may be done by introducing some of the functionalities of the system before the rest or by introducing some functionalities to certain users before introducing them to all the users. This gives the users the time to cope with the changes caused by the system.
