With the Command key pressed, drag and drop icons to the correct location in the menu bar to rearrange them. Ignore the Notification Center icon. It won’t budge. For a cleaner menu bar, you’ll need to go beyond rearranging the icons and either hide or remove them. To remove a system icon, hold down the Command key, drag the icon out of the menu bar and release it when you see an “X” mark show up next to the cursor.
